FAQ

FAQ

1. What is a B'nai Mitzvah? I thought it was called a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.

A B'nai Mitzvah is the plural of Bar and Bat Mitzvah together. Since Austin and Abbie are twins, they get to share this special day together. The official B'nai Mitzvah happens during this service. This is a time when family, friends and congregants come together to celebrate this special occasion.

2. If I am not Jewish, should I attend the service?

Yes! The service is in both English and Hebrew and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend. It's a great way to honor Austin & Abbie and celebrate this special milestone. We even give out booklets (in English) so you can follow along.

3. What should I wear?

The service will be followed by the party, so it's like a wedding (all-in-one) where you get dressed once for both events! Formal attire would be great.

4. What kind of party is this?

The party at night will include cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, activities and fun for everyone of ALL ages.

5. Is everything at the Garden City Hotel?

Yes, the ceremony will be in one space and we will transition to another space for the party. How convenient!

6. Should I stay at the hotel?

The party is in one of the hotel ballrooms so staying at the hotel means you have a short commute home. It's your preference and certainly not required.
